Risk Assessment and Method Statements

We will perform full risk assessment to ensure that all potential hazards are identified with regards to the proposed works. We will especially focus of the following areas:

  • Noxious fumes
  • Reduced oxygen levels
  • Risk of fire
  • Potential for flooding
  • Asphyxiation

We will then create a method statement which will outline the procedure we will use to complete the job with respect of the outcome of the risk assessment.

Top Man First Aid Trained

In all confined space works there is always one person who stays out of the space to monitor the safety and health of everyone in the confined space. This person is referred to as the 'Top Man' and he or she is always first aid trained.
