General Labourer

The work will be varied and predominantly in the South East (Kent, London, Essex, Sussex & Hampshire).The successful applicant/s will be a good communicator and capable of giving and receiving instructions as required.

Supervisor

Duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with direct labour and sub-contractors.
• Direct and supervise day to day operations of direct labour or sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures.
• Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Project Manager.
• Schedule, control and monitor all plants and materials on a weekly basis.
• Ensure all work is completed to programme.
• Fulfil the role of Temporary Works Co-Ordinator when required.
• Liaise with Project Manager/Engineer, Site Manager, regarding cost control, waste management, variations, and confirmation of instructions.
• Carrying out safety inspections and fulfilling the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company’s Policy.
• Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Create and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholders.
• Fulfil the role of Mentor as and when required.
• Control and monitor site waste in accordance with the Company’s Site Waste Minimisation and Management policy.
• Maintain positive relations with clients, design teams and neighbours.
• Fulfil company requirements undertaking all relevant training and development activities as required.

Minimum requirements:
• SMSTS or SSSTS, Confined Space Trained, CSCS.
• A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a multi-disciplined engineering team.
• Demonstrate ability to work within a Quality Management System.
• Be comfortable working according to Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety requirements.
• Be literate and numerate.

Project Engineer

• Carry out or review feasibility studies of proposed Planned Works.
• Carry out detailed design or design review of proposed Planned Works, including value engineering and preparing a Risk Management Plan.
• Write Technical Solution Reports for issue to the client.
• Preparing fixed price quotations for proposed Planned Works Services, in association with the Commercial department, prior to issue to the Client.
• Preparation, issue and updating of a MS Project Programme of the Planned Works.
• Provide all necessary HS460, Risk Assessment & Method statement documentation for Planned Works.
• Ensure that contractual obligations and Service Level Indicators are met.
• Ensure the works are completed safely, in accordance with current health & safety legislation and company policies.
• Ensure that Planned Works are completed within budget and provide the client with value for money.
• Carry out bid analysis of received sub-Contractor tenders
• Prepare subcontract and purchase order requisitions and submit to the Commercial department for issue to the Subcontractors and Suppliers.
• Work together with the contract management team to achieve contract and client targets through effective use of resources.
• Manage and control teams of mechanical and electrical engineers and supervisors of both a direct and agency nature.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure a high level of service, they fulfil their contractual obligations and provide value for money, in their delivery of services relevant to the Planned Works to programme.
• Ensure adherence to CDM2015 regulations is maintained.
• Ensure that data is compiled for new, removed and modified Assets. Submit to Technical Author of update of the Client Asset Management system.

Minimum requirements:
• Must have Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Qualification (City and Guilds Electrical Certificates Parts 1, 2 & 3 or an Equivalent NVQ, HNC or ONC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a multi-disciplined engineering team.
• Demonstrate ability to work within a Quality Management System.
• Be comfortable working according to Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety requirements.
• Be literate and numerate.

Mechanical or Electrical Engineers

The work will be varied and predominantly in the South East (Kent, London, Essex, Sussex & Hampshire.
The successful applicant(s) must be/have;
• Water Industry/Industrial Background (Preferred)
• Full Driving License (Essential)
• Approved JIB Status (Desirable)
• CSCS card (Preferable)
• Appropriate City & Guilds and/or NVQ3 Qualification (Essential)
• C&G Confined Space Trained (Desirable)
• First Aid at Work (Desirable)
• Capable of giving and receiving instructions as required
• Punctual and reliable
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and procedures
• Good Numeracy and literacy skills
• Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
• Good communication skills
• Able to work on own initiative
• Ability to problem solve and fault find

Salary is negotiable dependant on experience and qualifications, Holiday 20 days per year plus statutory Bank Holidays.
