Biogest specialises in innovative solutions for rainwater management and wastewater treatment plant construction. With decades of German engineering excellence, Biogest products are designed to deliver reliable performance in demanding applications.
We are proud to offer the complete range of Biogest products, providing our customers with access to cutting-edge technology for flow control, screening, and system management.
The ALPHEUS® Type AT flow throttle holds a constant discharge from a stormwater attenuation system, so the connected treatment facility is fed at a set rate and is not hydraulically overloaded. If a blockage forms, the float opens the penstock until the cross-section is flushed clear, then returns it to the control position.
The ALPHEUS® Type AS discharge regulator holds a constant target discharge without a separate throttle shaft. A diving-bell float and control curve move the gate plate across the orifice so the set discharge is maintained as the water level changes. A manual override opens the orifice fully for tank cleaning.
The float-operated throttle penstock Type SWDS limits discharge from a stormwater attenuation system where no power supply is available. In dry weather the penstock is fully open. As the float lifts in wet weather it closes the outlet, then opens fully again once the stored water has discharged.
The vacuum flushing system Type MF cleans storm tanks after a storm without any part of the mechanism coming into contact with the wastewater. A vacuum pump fills a flush chamber, then a diaphragm valve releases a surge that clears sludge and debris from the tank floor.
The gate flushing system Type KS closes a gate as the tank fills, then releases the stored head once the tank has emptied. The surge carries sludge and debris into the flushing sump and on into the sewer.
The channel flushing gate Type CF dams dry-weather or storm flow behind a hydraulically driven plate, then releases it to flush long lengths of channel or sewer. Raised, the plate does not reduce the pipe diameter.
The storm screen Type SAS is installed ahead of an overflow weir. A perforated semicircular basket (6 mm holes, with 5 mm or 8 mm available) and a rotating screw keep the screen clear and carry screenings to a calm zone, from where they are forwarded to the treatment plant. Any material greater than 6 mm in two directions is retained.
The storm screen Type PAS retains material greater than 6 mm in two directions on the flow side of an overflow weir. When the level reaches the underside of the screen, a pump drives effluent through a Venturi so an air and water jet scours the basket. There are no moving parts in the basket, so solids are not sheared or forced through the perforations.
The lamella baffle Type LTW retains floating matter at combined-sewer and stormwater relief thresholds without external energy. Shaped lamellas draw the overflowing water from below the surface, so solids are held back on straight or round weirs.
The floating scum baffle Type SWTW holds floating solids on the foul side of a relief threshold at any water level. Balanced floating bodies keep a constant immersion depth, in a vertical arrangement (SWTW-V) or a radial arrangement (SWTW-R).
The grit trap Type GESMO collects stones, grit and debris from combined, storm and rainwater channels in an aerated basket. Light organic material stays in the flow. The basket is lifted, emptied and returned while the channel stays in operation.
