Optimal Performance and Longer Life Expectancy

ATAC Lamella Unit is an essential component of settlement process used in various industrial and wastewater treatment processes. These units are designed to enhance the efficiency of solid-liquid separation and improve the overall performance of the treatment system.

The ATAC Lamella Units are constructed using 304 stainless steel, ensuring its durability and resistance to corrosion. This tank material is specifically chosen for above and below ground installations, providing longevity and reliability in various environmental conditions.

Applications and Benefits

The Lamella settlement tanks, along with other products offered by ATAC, find extensive applications in wastewater treatment processes. They can be used as primary settlement tanks or humus settlement tanks, depending on the specific treatment requirements. The Lamella units seamlessly integrate with ATAC's range of Submerged Aerated Filter (SAF) plants, further enhancing the overall treatment performance.

For applications requiring higher treatment capacities, the Lamella Unit offers complete scalability through parallel installation. Multiple units can be installed in parallel mode, fed from a bespoke hydraulic weir splitter chamber provided by ATAC. This modular approach means there is no upper limit to the potential flow rate - the system can be scaled to meet any requirement. The parallel configuration allows for increased treatment efficiency and enhanced flexibility in handling varying flow rates and solids loads. This versatility makes Lamella units ideal for integration with other treatment systems like SAF and MBBR, creating comprehensive treatment solutions for any scale of operation.

The incorporation of Lamella settlement tanks in wastewater treatment processes offers several benefits. Firstly, the Lamella media's unique design and arrangement maximise the available surface area, allowing for efficient solid-liquid separation. This results in improved effluent quality and reduced suspended solids in the treated water. Additionally, the automated desludging system ensures regular removal of settled solids, maintaining the unit's operational efficiency. The external access platform facilitates routine cleaning by hosing, ensuring easy maintenance and prolonging the unit's lifespan.

Lamella Settlement Tanks FAQ

What is a lamella settler?

A lamella settler (also known as a lamella clarifier or sedimentation tank) uses inclined plates to increase the effective settling area within a compact footprint. Suspended solids settle onto the plates and slide down into a sludge hopper, producing a clearer effluent than a conventional settlement tank of the same size.

How does a lamella clarifier work?

Influent enters the tank and flows upward between closely spaced inclined lamella plates. Solids settle onto the plate surfaces under gravity and slide down to the base for removal via automated desludging. The clarified water overflows at the top and is discharged.

Can I hire a lamella tank?

Yes. ATAC Solutions offers lamella settlement tanks for both capital purchase and hire. Hire units are ideal for emergency situations, temporary works or pilot trials. Units are delivered ready to connect with full commissioning support.
