What is Leachate?
Leachate is the result of rainfall filtered through decomposing landfill waste. Leachate tends to contain dissolved and suspended materials picked up from the landfill waste. These materials can include methane, carbon dioxide, organic acids, aldehydes, alcohols and simple sugars.
Leachate is collected into holding tanks / sumps which are designed to prevent percolation of the liquor into the underground strata which could cause localised ground and / or water source pollution.
You can benefit from our high powered vacuum tankers and years of experience with leachate collection. We specialise in the removal and disposal of leachate from sumps in collection systems.
